In 2007, Lady GaGa performed her act Lady GaGa and The Starlight Revue. In 2008, she was signed to Interscope Records. She has been contracted to write songs for a number of high profile pop acts, including Britney Spears, New Kids On the Block and Fergie from Black Eyed Peas. Akon recognized Lady GaGa’s vocal talent when she laid down guide vocals for tracks that she had written for one of his acts.

Akon introduced her to RedOne, who produced her debut album, ‘The Fame’. The single ‘Poker Face’ won a grammy in 2010 and in 2011 the album won Best Pop Album.  Still working with Lady Gaga he later won another grammy for the credits in Born this Way album.

in 2008 The Fame was released by Interscope Records after Lady Gaga joined Kon Live Distribution and Cherrytree Records. Promotion was primarily through The Fame Ball Tour and multiple television appearances.

Lady GaGa’s first concert tour was with the newly-reformed New Kids On The Block and then she moved onto supporting  The Pussycat Dolls from this she embarked on her first headline tour, The Fame Ball Tour, which ran from March to September 2009.

Despite a secured a record deal with a branch of Interscope Records, there were some company executives who were concerned that her sound and image were too dance-orientated and too racy for the mainstream.

Whilst on tour, she also wrote a collection of eight songs, released under the title The Fame Monster. Released in 2009 by Interscope Records,  promoted by performances from ‘Saturday Night Live’ and various TV appearances.

The internet has helped Lady Gaga through social media having 41 million twitter followers and a high profile on facebook has helped her to produce sell out tours. Tweeting inspirational quotes, self promoting and responding to fan requests which builds on fan loyalty  calling her fans ‘Little Monsters’ and effects her followers in deep ways. A main element of her star persona is her strange and weird fashion style which has built upon her brand, having a number of appearances in magazines and TV coverages of her extraordinary outfit chooses has made her significantly attractive to the media helping her music career in ways of expanding her fan base.

Lady Gaga has her own website ‘www.ladygaga.co.uk’ which she uses to advertise her tours with links available to purchase tickets, information on selling dates and times and location of her shows. She also keeps up to date with the latest news with the main headlines and the most recent awards she has won or been nominated for; also information on the making of her latest single/album.
